Heroic takes its name from creatures with the Heroic ability. Each list will only run you about $20 in paper or 5-10 tix online, and they each have distinct advantages and gameplay antics. There are two style of Pauper Heroic decks, Instant and Enchantment based. In contrast, these Heroic decks are each mono-White, and as such they have the advantage of rock solid mana bases which never trickle out. In that sense, it is similar to a few heavily played decks such as Izzet Blitz, Boggles Hexproof, and Tireless Tribe Combo, but while each of those are fine options, they all run multiple colors and focus more on digging for answers than smashing face with overwhelming value. Each build wants to stack up a large creature that can end the game in short order. Pauper Heroes are one of Pauper’s “go tall” decks.
